Swakopmund or Swakop is a coastal town in Namibia and a holiday destination for tourists and locals. This former German colonial town has old historical buildings, beautiful beaches and is sitting at the edge of the Namib Desert. In Swakopmund you can stroll along the palm-lined streets (Molke Street, Kaiser Wilhelm Street & Post Street), seaside promenades, bookshops, restaurants, cafes, art galleries and museums.
